A shocking case has come to light from Nashik, Maharashtra. Police have arrested 67-year-old Ashok Kharat, who claims to be a spiritual guru, numerologist, and astrologer. A 35-year-old woman has accused him of sexually abusing her for several years.
According to the victim, the accused gained her trust in the name of spirituality and a specific ritual, and then took advantage of this to repeatedly physically assault her. An FIR has been registered at the Sarkarwada police station, and the investigation is ongoing.
